After discarding such lesser career choices as secret agent and exotic dancer, John decided to be an actor, mostly because he heard the ladies liked it. He has appeared in numerous productions at his alma mater, Greensboro College, as well as many community and professional theatres in both North Carolina and NYC.

Claims that he is actually a thawed Neanderthal man are unsubstantiated.
